Since May, subsidiary companies under SEMCORP, including SEMCORP Jiangsu, Jiangxi Ruiergy, and Jiangsu Ruiergy have been steadily ramping up new production capabilities, with multiple lithium-ion battery separator and aluminum-plastic film production lines coming online one after another. On August 25th, exhilarating news emerged from SEMCORP Hubei: their first lithium-ion battery separator production line, featuring an integrated online coating process, has been seamlessly commissioned.

SEMCORP Hubei is a joint venture founded by SEMCORP Shanghai and EVE Energy in the high-tech district of Duodao Area, Jingmen City, Hubei Province, with a total investment of 5.2 billion yuan. The plan includes the construction of 16 fully automated lithium-ion battery separator production lines with an annual production capacity of 1.6 billion square meters, as well as the development of four state-of-the-art manufacturing workshops, each exceeding an area of 25,000 square meters.

Worth noting is that all of SEMCORP Hubei’s production lines adopt the globally leading, in-house developed integrated online coating technology. As the production capacities of these online coating lines are continually unleashed, SEMCORP Hubei aims to further enhance cost-efficiency, refine product quality, raise per-square-meter profitability, and bolster the continuous evolution and rapid development of the new energy industry supply chain in Central China.
